Thank you for your reply, I feel like I cannot test to see if I will like it because I don't want to give up my job and then hate it...I just feel like I would be super lazy, have nothing to do and get really fat. What do you do all day?

Belive it or not I stay pretty busy.  I have a list of things I do daily not including taking care of the family.  I also do crafts, bake cakes, cookies, make hairbows, scrapbook, go shopping, have playdates, out to eat lunch, kids to the park, go swimming, dog to groomer, go to dr appts, find time for DH, cook meals, clean, keep things nice, organized and in order, pamper my self when I can, play with the kids, check emails, pay bills, check OH, Myspace, Facebook, Ebay, talk on the phone to other SAHM, run errands, etc, etc, etc,!  That's pretty much my everyday life.  I found I had zero time to do any of this when I was working......

I never, ever get bored being at home.  Heck I don't even have time to sit and watch TV.  I have to TiVo everything and watch it later.  I have to make myself sit down and eat during the day.

My question is how do you do everything and work full time?  I give working mom's props...... :)

I am a crazy anxiety filled lunatic...I get up at 6am, shower, get Ny up and dressed leave home at 6:50am get to babysitter at 7a then work at 7:30 until 3:30p then back to get Ny at 4pm home by 4:15. Eat, play a little, bath, bed I feel like a machine, I wish I felt like cooking but after I work I want to lay down. I don't get to exercise I have no time for myself (partly because my husband is out to sea). I have to take days off for doctors appointments, etc. I hate it!What the heck do you eat to stay so thin. when I am home I eat so much thats ultimately what I am worried about.

In all honesty, other than carbonated drinks, I eat and drink whatever I want to!  Other than walks at the park with the kids, I don't have a set exercise routine either.  I can honestly say that my surgery worked like magic!  I do eat small amounts and maybe that's why I've been able to stay in the 120's!  I'm so glad I'm not 230 lbs anymore.  It's funny it's been almost 2 years since my RNY and I've pretty much stayed pregnant the entire time.  I was 5 months out when I got pregnant with Skyler.  Then pregnant again when she was 5 months old.

Life is crazy sometimes!

I wish I could eat anything....To lose weight and stay down I have to drink shakes and starve half the time. Maybe I should try eating what I want just less of it.

I SO think you can have the best of both worlds!

I went to school for business and have my associates degree in business administration. I worked full time and even picked up a second job. I was fortunate enough to have that second job turn into my career today! I'm an independent contractor (direct sales) and I am able to be a stay-at-home Mom and still bring home a full-time income. What's so awesome about this is that I also get to leave the house on average of two nights a week for some adult company and conversation when I do my cooking shows. I really do feel like this is a win win situation for our family.

There's so many opportunities out there like this, it really just depends on what you're into. What's also great about something like this is that you CAN still go to school as well at the same time if you think that's something you'd really like to do, it's flexible enough...

Just my two cents Good luck making your decision!

I worked full time until Sophie was born.  I was expecting to take off six weeks and be right back to work.  Well I had a c section and it turned into 8 weeks.  She still wasn't sleeping through the night, so I extended it until 12 weeks.  I went back to work and within one month I knew I couldn't do it.  I couldn't keep handing her over to someone else---even though it was my mom, still I believe that a baby needs his or her mom.  No one on earth can care for a child the way his or her mom can, unless the mom is mentally insane or something like that.  I'm assuming you are not insane, you seem perfectly sane.  I worked for two months of my daughter's life.  I missed the first time she rolled over.  No biggee, I guess.  I survived hearing it from my mom.  But I did not miss the first time she did a million other things, like today she stood up all by herself without anything or anyone supporting her.  It was just for a second and then she fell down.  But it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.  I will never forget it.  Everytime she wakes up from her nap, I am the one that gets her.  I give her 99% of her bottles/feedings.  I change 99% of her diapers, hold her when she cries, kiss her cute face, and clean up her boogers.  I have my bachelor's degree, had a really good job making good money but nothing and I mean nothing compares to the work I do now.  We moved in with my parents so I could do this.  We are clearing up some debts and we hope to be moving out into our own place again in the near future.  At first, I missed adult interaction a little, but I get online, I talk to my mom, phone or visit a friend, then there is always church, SAHM groups, etc.  I do not miss my job and I don't even miss my paycheck.  My baby gets plenty of interaction at church and with family and friends.  Your child probably does have fun at daycare, I don't doubt it.  But no hired help in the world can care for her the way you do.  And given the choice, most any child would choose mommy over daycare.  If you can figure out a way to make staying home work, I truly believe there is no place like home.  You might consider reading "In Praise of Stay at Home Moms".
Having said that, whatever you choose will be ok.  You are not a bad mom or a bad person if you do not stay at home.  I think that your heart is telling you something and for me, I am always happiest when I listen.  Good luck whatever you decide.
